Coronavirus – Libraries, Museum and Gallery to Close Temporarily

7 months ago | by

As a result of the ongoing Coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, Coffs Harbour City Council’s Library branches, Regional Museum and Regional Gallery will temporarily close from March 24 2020.

A review of the closures will be undertaken from April 14 2020. Library users will still be able to access all the usual Library digital services during this time.

The due dates of all current loaned items have been automatically extended to May 1 2020. There is no need for borrowers to return any loaned material before that date. This due date will also be reviewed on April 14 2020.

Woolgoolga, Nana Glen and Sawtell public swimming pools were closed last week and will not reopen before September 2020. After consultation with Council, Lane 4 Aquatics has also now closed Coffs Harbour War Memorial Pool, but this closure will be regularly reviewed.

The Jetty Memorial Theatre is also closed in line with the Australian Government’s closure of all entertainment venues. Please visit www.jettytheatre.com for updates on specific shows regarding cancellations and postponements. The Jetty Theatre Facebook page and website will be kept updated with the status of events. Ticketholders can contact the Box Office regarding a refund or exchange. If you require further information please contact the Box Office Tuesday to Friday 12noon – 4pm, on (02) 6648 4930.

Sportz Central and the Bunker Cartoon Gallery are also closed. A review of Sportz Central’s closure will take place on March 29 2020.

This is a constantly evolving situation and we are continually monitoring updates from the Australian and NSW Governments to ensure our operations are in line with the latest advice. The health and safety of our staff and community remains our ongoing priority.
