Don’t know an iPad from an eyebrow? Starting to feel left behind by technology that even toddlers understand? Then come along to Coffs Harbour Libraries’ free ‘Get to Know an iPad’ workshop series at the Harry Bailey Memorial Library.
Catherine Turner, Council’s Library, Museum and Gallery Operations and Programs Coordinator said that the workshop series will help you unlock the digital world via tablets.
“Digital skills are more critical than ever in today’s world, when we’re expected to access services like government, job applications, health and legal information online, while trying to stay connected with our social tribe across the country and globe and wanting to expand our horizons through lifelong learning,” she said.
“These workshops are designed to take the terror out of technology by providing a safe place to ask ‘dumb questions’ so that you can head back into the world a more confident and tech-savvy person.”
You can either bring your own iPad or borrow one for free when you attend the ‘Get to Know an iPad’ series of three workshops that run from 10am to midday on the following dates:
- Session 1: Navigating the iPad —Saturday March 3, Tuesday May 1, or Thursday August 2.
- Session 2: Getting online on the iPad — Saturday March 10, Sunday May 8, or Thursday August 9.
- Session 3: Discovering Apps — Saturday March 17, Sunday May 15, or Thursday August 16.
Coffs Harbour Libraries is also happy to work with social and support agencies, community groups, and employment services who feel their clients would benefit from dedicated sessions. Please contact us to arrange sessions at one of our libraries or at another suitable venue.
