Young People Encouraged to Get Creative

5 years ago | by

Young people in the local area are being given to opportunity to showcase their creativity by designing the logo for the new Get Connected Toormina project.

Get Connected Toormina is a youth and family focused project that was launched in December 2017 with a community day to celebrate the resurfacing of the Toormina Skate Park.

The first stage of the project focused on general improvements to the Toormina Skate Park and following this further activities are planned to engage the community in a range of programs involving young people and local organisations.

The logo competition is open to 12 – 18 year old people who can submit their original logo design for consideration. The competition winner will work with graphic designer Suzanne van Gestel to create the official logo.

The winning entry will be announced in March with the logo being used for project initiatives including the official Youth Week event to be held in April.

There are great prizes on offer including a Big Banana Fun Pass valued at over $226.00.
