A totally unique cultural event is planned for November 24 when the Friends of Coffs Harbour Regional Gallery take over the new courthouse’s garden and foyer with a fabulous line-up of music, art and performance.
ABC’s James Valentine will host one of his ‘pub chats’ with a diverse panel that will include Dave Horsley from Screenwave, Jo Besley the Regional Gallery Curator, Belinda Lemair from the Young Actors Studio and Lisa Slade, Curator of the Art Gallery of South Australia.
Scott Muller from ‘Ten Tenors’ fame will provide a private concert mixing classical and contemporary music, while sand artist John Thiering will create one of his world famous sand paintings right before your eyes. Plus as guests mingle, drama students will entertain with mime, circus acts and an interactive arts demonstration.
What an amazing way to see inside the new courthouse – and it’s all being done to help raise funds for the new gallery in the planned Cultural and Civic Space and to raise money to add to the Gallery’s still life collection.
It goes to show that Coffs has a passionate and vibrant arts community that is right behind the new gallery.

Thank you Lowanna
I don’t get as much opportunity as I’d like to go out west to Lowanna, Ulong and Brooklana, so I jumped at the chance to visit the new Lowanna Outdoor Learning Area at Lowanna Public School.
What a great new facility and what a lovely welcome.
Thanks to all the students, teachers and parents who gave up their time to show me around.
