Award-winning Australian children’s author Chris Collin will host a very special Storytime at the Harry Bailey Memorial Library on Thursday 8 June from 5 – 6pm.
Kids should bring their parents along to the library dressed in their PJ’s for a fun filled evening of storytelling, rhyme, music puppetry and art.
This exciting interactive Storytime program is based around Chris’s latest book Funky Chicken: Chooks in Space which won the 2016 Speech Pathology Australia Book of the Year Award.
“Chris is all about encouraging kids and adults to read for the sheer joy of reading”, Said Merilyn Edgar LMG Operations and Programs Coordinator “This is sure to be an enjoyable evening for the whole family to revisit their passion for reading.”
Chris’s books will be available for sale on the night with a percentage of all sales going to The Pyjama Foundation. The foundation offers children in foster care in-home support with reading, educational games and homework help by volunteer ‘Pyjama Angels’ providing learning, life skills and confidence.
